Aransas Pass High School Decision Day

Aransas Pass High School proudly celebrated its annual Decision Day, honoring a remarkable achievement: 100% of the graduating Class of 2025—96 seniors—have been accepted into a college, university, or trade school, or have enlisted in the United States military. Every student also completed both FAFSA applications and post-secondary school applications, marking a significant milestone for the campus and community.

What began as a small gathering in 2023 has grown into a cherished tradition symbolizing hope, perseverance, and the promising futures of Aransas Pass seniors. Today’s celebration recognized the full journey students have taken—from researching schools and submitting applications to securing financial aid and receiving acceptance letters.

“Decision Day is more than just a celebration—it’s a testament to the determination and resilience of our students,” said Mrs. Helgerman, Aransas Pass High School Postsecondary Advisor. “Every acceptance letter represents a dream realized and the countless hours of effort these students have invested in shaping their futures.”

The event featured representatives from two branches of the military and 17 colleges, universities, and trade schools, who attended in person to support and celebrate with the seniors as they officially committed to their next step. Parents, faculty, and community members looked on with pride as each student’s name was called and they signed with their chosen institution.

Whether pursuing a four-year university, community college, trade school, or enlisting in the military, or entering the workforce, every senior was recognized and celebrated. Tables decorated with school colors and logos showcased the pride each student feels in their accomplishment—bragging rights well-earned.
