The Aransas Pass ISD Board of Trustees recognized the Panthers and Employees of the Month at their May 12th Regular Board Meeting.
May 2025 Panthers of the Month
Zola Cozad is a 1st grader at Faulk Elementary. Zola is a shining example of responsibility and kindness. She consistently arrives on time, works well with others, and always completes her assignments. Her positive attitude and strong work ethic make her a role model for her peers. Way to go, Zola!
Olivia Villarreal is a 5th grader at Charlie Marshall. Olivia is just an overall great kid! Every day, she exhibits her Panther Pride by being helpful, showing good manners, being friendly, and doing what needs to be done. Thank you, Olivia for exemplifying the traits of a student at Charlie Marshall.
Kyler McLendon is an 8th grader at A.C.Blunt. We are proud to recognize Kyler for exemplifying both academic excellence and outstanding character. Known for his positive demeanor and quick smile, he consistently brings a spirit of kindness and respect to every interaction. Kyler has earned numerous academic achievements, reflecting a strong work ethic and dedication to learning. He truly represents the best of our student community. We are so very proud to have Kyler represent our campus as our AC Blunt Panther of the Month!
Andres Granados is a senior at Aransas Pass High School. Andres is an awesome student who is such a joy to be around. He has a wonderful attitude and is one of the leaders of this year’s senior class. Andres serves as an office aide and is one of the seniors who trains our other office aides in how to answer the phone, how to greet parents, and how to manage the office. We are so lucky to know Andres and have had him in the office this year and we will truly miss him and this is why Andres Granados is Aransas Pass High School’s May Panther of the Month.

Robin Moring is a Life Skills teacher at Faulk Elementary. Ms. Robin Moring is a true example of perseverance and dedication. Despite the challenges she has faced this school year, she continues to show up each day with a smile and an unwavering commitment to her students. Her love for teaching and her students is evident in every interaction and in the thoughtful planning she puts into every lesson to meet each of her students' needs. We are so proud to have her at Faulk.
Devereaux Merrill is a paraprofessional at Charlie Marshall Elementary. Her unwavering dedication to both students and staff is evident in everything she does. Always ready to lend a helping hand, she consistently goes above and beyond to ensure that everyone around her feels supported and cared for. We appreciate Ms. Merrill and everything she does at CMES. We are so grateful to have her as part of our team!
Justin Oge is the assistant band director at AC Blunt. We are proud to recognize Mr. Oge for his outstanding dedication and leadership in the AC Blunt music program. He consistently demonstrates focused motivation and takes the initiative to support the needs of our campus. Going above and beyond to support his students and colleagues, Mr. Oge continuously seeks improvement, he is committed to growing and enhancing the band program, and creating rewarding opportunities for his band students. His passion and proactive approach has made an impact on our school community.
Michael Todd is an assistant principal at Aransas Pass High School. Mr. Todd is an exceptional employee who goes above and beyond in whatever task is being asked of him. Mr. Todd loves his students and is an excellent teacher, administrator,parent, guidance counselor, and friend. Mr. Todd’s retirement after this school year is going to leave a huge hole in the high school. He is not only an exceptional school employee but an amazing person and friend. Mr. Todd you always have a free pass to any athletic event, and hopefully you’ll come by so we can sing Daniel and annoy Ostrom. This is why Michael Todd is APHS May Employee of the month.
Socorro Montemayor is the Co-Director of Child Nutrition. We are proud to celebrate Socorro for her tireless energy and the kindness she brings to every corner of our school community. Every single day, Socorro ensures that students are not only fed but cared for—through thoughtfully prepared meals and a welcoming environment. Whether Socorro is preparing food trays for staff or menus for students, she always displays a genuine desire to provide the very best. Socorro leads with heart and precision, ensuring that the child nutrition department runs like a well-oiled machine.
