Did you know that APISD will have no change to the overall tax rate with VATRE approval?
With the passage of the VATRE, the overall tax rate (Maintenance & Operations + Interest & Sinking) will be the same in 2025 as the 2024 rate of $0.8088 while generating approximately $936,611 in additional revenue for district operations. Learn more information about how this is possible and find answers to your questions by visiting

Aransas Pass ISD administration is actively monitoring the forecast for potentially inclement weather on the evening of Wednesday, September 24 through the morning of Thursday, September 25. Although we would all be grateful for the rain, based on information received from the National Weather Service, there is a marginal risk of severe thunderstorms and flash flooding.
The safety of our students and staff is always our top priority. In the event that travel conditions on Thursday morning are anticipated to be unsafe, we will provide additional updates regarding the school schedule via email, phone call, text message, District social media accounts, and local news media. Stay safe Panthers!

Reminder, this Friday our Varsity Panther football team is HOME against London, with Perfect Attendance Panthers before kick-off!
Students with perfect attendance at the district official attendance time (10AM) for the entire week of each home varsity football game will receive FREE admission and be eligible to run through the tunnel before the game!
This Friday:
🐾Gates open at 6PM, we recommend getting to the stadium early!
🐾Students will report to the concession stand entrance area and run the field at 6:30PM.
🐾No parents allowed on track or field.
🐾Please pick up students at the same entrance after completion of tunnel run.
Campuses will check weekly attendance on Fridays before home varsity football games and provide a wristband to each student with perfect attendance for the week. This wristband will grant the student free entry to the game.
Students must have their wristband to enter the game, and to enter the field to run through the tunnel. No replacement wristbands will be provided in the event the wristband is lost. Free admission will only be granted to the student. Accompanying parents/guardians and others with the student will be required to purchase a ticket online. Visit our website at

During this last full week of summer break, we want to remind our parents and guardians, and inform all new families, of the safety protocols we use at APISD to keep students and staff safe. APISD uses the Standard Response Protocol (SRP), which provides a common language across our district and with area first responders in the event of an emergency. Over the last few days we've been highlighting each action of the SRP.
What is the SHELTER Action?
The SHELTER Action is called when specific protective actions are needed based on a threat or hazard. The actions taken by staff and students during a SHELTER will vary based on the hazard.
Examples of SHELTER Conditions
The following are some examples of when a school or emergency dispatch might call for an SHELTER Action.
- Tornado
- Severe weather
- Wildfires
- Flooding
- Hazmat spill or release
- Earthquake
- Tsunami
Safety strategies may include:
- Evacuate to Shelter area
- Seal the room
- Drop, cover and hold
- Get to high ground
